South Kensington was the area developed as a result of a landmark in history, the Great Exhibition of 1851. It now houses some of London's most important museums. But you can look inside the museums another time!
This tour can include the story of the Crystal Palace (home of the Great Exhibition), the museums and Imperial College, but also some of the interesting characters who lived and worked in the side streets of Kensington and Knightsbridge roundabout.
