Science lovers in Chelsea
Science lovers in Greenwich
ALL my tours are inspired by great stories of science and invention. Many have a single theme such as the Royal Society or my London War Walk. Tours without a named theme you can therefore enjoy as a science lovers' mystery tour getting to know one of London's neighbourhoods too. London's science stories are amazingly diverse and its characters often wonderfully eccentric.

Unusual London Walking Tours

So, if you enjoy the unusual and the pleasantly unpredictable you will love these walks and talks. Not just for science lovers!

First time visitors from overseas typically choose one of my tours on a definite theme such as the Royal Society or the Science Museum. But when they get to know my style that opens up to them a range tours that I offer in different neighbourhoods of London. Much of London's technological history turns out to be global - part of everyone's history.

My walks are mainly intended for adults but have been enjoyed by children as young as 11. Children are more likely to enjoy them if they already have an interest in history, science, adventure or architecture (in that order).

Themed Tours

If you are looking for an easy introduction to the history of science then the Royal Society tour is a good place to start.

Many of London's neighbourhoods have had more than their fair share of people who helped shape our world in anything from sanitation to radio astronomy - sometimes famous, sometimes forgotten, always intriguing.
